According to information, the unprecedented episode is due to a “feud” between Greek Solution and his Konstantinos FlorosToday in the Plenary Session of the Parliament the request to lift his immunity was discussed Kyriakos Velopoulos following a lawsuit by the father of MP Floros regarding anonymous accounts on twitter that insult him.

When the representative of the Hellenic Solution, Chitas, announced that he is in favor of lifting immunity, although Mr. Velopoulos is not related to the lawsuit, Mr. Floros jumped in and said that this will be decided by the court.

After this intervention, members of the Hellenic Solution started swearing vulgarly at Konstantinos Floros. Information reports that Vassilis Grammenos told the independent MP “I’ll fuck you… mommy, I’ll send you to jail with bracelets” and Konstantinos Floros to answer him “come out and tell me”. The two men then met in the peristyle, with Konstantinos Floros grabbing Vassilis Grammenos by the collar, punching him and throwing him down.

After the incident, the Hellenic Solution MP was taken to the Parliament’s clinic where he was given first aid.

What sources of Hellenic Solution say about the episode

Sources of the Hellenic Solution claim that the attack launched by Konstantinos Floros it was unprovoked and they deny that there was a dialogue and insults from their MP Basil Grammeno.

THE Kyriakos Velopoulos in his conversation with parliamentary editors he noted that he rules out that his deputy insulted the mother of K. Floros and added that “if he had cursed mother who is the holiest thing I would have taken his head off myself”.

Tasoulas: Beastly behavior

After the unprecedented episode, the Speaker of the Parliament, Konstantinos Tasoulasordered the removal of Constantinos Floros from the parliament with the assistance of the guard while proposing to the House the 15-day exclusion of the independent deputy from all work of the Parliament.

Mr. Tasoula’s intervention took place at the moment when Mr. Floros was continuing the thumping, as when Kyriakos Velopoulos went up to the Plenary floor to denounce the attack, the independent member of parliament appeared at the entrance of the hall shouting that his attack was justified as they cursed his mother.

Mr. Tasoulas, ascending to the chair, said: “Unfortunately, the regulation does not provide for this brutal behavior and it is lenient because when we made it we thought we were addressing intelligent people. I seek the permission of the House to remove the MP with the guard for 15 days from the business of the House. I would like your permission. It is a caress in the face of his vulgarity and brutish behavior. Apparently there will be a waiver of his immunity. Penalty caress but there is nothing heavier unfortunately. Obviously, it will also be referred to the ethics committee.”

The Speaker of the Parliament, Konstantinos Tasoulas, as he later informed the Volis body, instructed the Guard to take Konstantinos Floros to the Authorities for self-inflicted felony.

Testimonies of deputies who witnessed the incident

Deputies who witnessed the scene of violence describe in shock what they saw.

“We heard Floros persistently asking for the reason, obviously irritated. The floor, as dictated by the Parliament’s Rules of Procedure, was not given to him as he was not expected to speak. Annoyed, he left the room”, a member of parliament reports to protothema.gr.

We heard the independent member of parliament cursing the Hellenic Solution member of parliament, saying: “You will not catch my mother in your mouth again, man” while he made other reports claiming that the member of parliament has also referred to other members of his family, emphasizing characteristics, “my sister went to lose her child yesterday because of you etc. My mother? I’ll kiss you.”

Although bystanders and the guard tried to separate them, Mr. Floros attacked Mr. Grammenos with a fist, while according to the eyewitnesses the punch was so strong that it was heard. Surprised, the Hellenic Solution MP fell down and tried to see if he was bleeding from his nose. At that moment they were separated by those who were there and the deputy headed to the Parliament’s doctor’s office.
