Consecration of the renovated Municipal Children’s Center “Maria Ambatzi”

Consecration of the renovated Municipal Children’s Hospital “Maria Ambatzi” took place today, Wednesday, April 24, in the presence of the Mayor of Mytilene Panagiotis Christofas, the President Nikos Spanos and the member of the Board of the Association of Social Protection and Solidarity Iakovos Vranis, as well as the Municipal Councilor Vassilis Tsagaris.

A few days ago, the project to adapt the nursery to the specifications of PD 99/2017 budget of 80,000 euros was completed, in the context of which work was carried out both on the interior and exterior of the building, so that the nursery meets modern functionality requirements, while already staff and children have been transferred to the renovated facilities.

The Mayor of Mytilene stated in this regard:
“We thank the parents and staff for their patience throughout the execution of the works, the result of which the children will be delighted. We also thank the staff as a whole for their work, recognizing the daily struggle they give to provide the necessary care to the children hosted at the station. Similar work is underway in other daycare centers, both in the city and in the villages of the Municipality, and our goal is to offer our young citizens the most modern facilities for their first steps outside the home.”
