The Corfu authorities were alerted after a 35-year-old tourist complained that she was a victim of rape.

According to the information, the police were informed by a doctor of the emergency department of the general hospital of Corfu, about a woman of Australian origin who had gone to the hospital reporting an attack on her and rape by an unknown man.

The 35-year-old reportedly claimed: “I am alone in Corfu on vacation. At approximately 8 in the evening (Tuesday 23/4), I was on Donatou Dimoulitsa Street, near the rented apartment where I live. Then a stranger came up to me and hit me on the head, without understanding what and how, causing me to lose consciousness.”

Following her testimony, she reportedly stated that she was unconscious for approximately 45 minutes.

“I managed to regain consciousness at about 20:45. Then I found I had a bruise on the right side of my pelvis and was bleeding from my vaginal area.”

Unfortunately, he did not manage to give a description of the perpetrator as he did not have time to see anything, as he claims, and there were no witnesses at the scene.

At the same time, she did not agree to undergo a forensic examination, while according to competent sources of information, she did not even cooperate with the doctors of the hospital during her examination.
