Online event “Dialogue on Climate Justice and Diplomacy in Greece”organized by our organization INZEBas the Coordinator of the European Climate Pact in Greece.

The event will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 16.00 – 17:30 pm

According to a related announcement, the goal of the event is to inform participants about the role of climate diplomacy and climate justice in addressing climate change and promoting environmental governance. The necessity of mechanisms and solutions in the context of climate agreements to ensure equal support for vulnerable groups, communities and regions will be demonstrated. Additionally, the purpose of the event is to empower participants to understand the power of advocacy actions to pursue climate agreements that protect vulnerable populations.

The event will be prefaced and moderated by Alice KorovesiManaging Director of INZEB, and will participate with presentations and placements, h Dr. Zoe AliozisDirector of “ZA- International Academic Consulting”, Independent Academic: Law & Philosophy Researcher, Human Rights Educator & Climate Justice Specialist and Ambassador of the European Climate Pact, the Dimitris SimeonidisPolicy Making Advisor on Geoeconomic Issues of the Energy Transition, Founder of the company Decentralized Solutions Global Network, Specialist Scientist at EKETA and Ambassador of the European Pact for the Climate, and Stefania ZurkaLawyer, LLM / Junior Project Manager – CluBE and Ambassador of the European Climate Pact.

EU Climate Pact

The EU Climate Pact is an initiative of the Directorate General for Climate (DG Clima) of the European Commission. The Pact is part of the European Green Deal aimed at supporting the EU to achieve its goal of becoming climate neutral by 2050. The event is expected to contribute to cooperation and exchange of ideas to address the challenges faced by Greece in the field of climate and mobilize citizens to take active action.
