The Spartan party was “cut off” by the Political Department of the Supreme Court and will not participate in the upcoming European elections.

According to the decision, the cases provided by the law for the legal descent of the party to the polls do not occur.

It is recalled that New Democracy and PASOK filed a relevant objection, as well as the relevant letter by New Left, considering that behind the party, the real leader is Ilias Kasidiaris,

It is recalled that criminal proceedings have been brought against the 11 members of the Spartan parliamentary group, on the charge of deceiving the Parliament, and the electorate, regarding the role of the former deputy leader of Golden Dawn.

Finally, 31 parties and coalitions of parties out of the 46 that had initially declared participation in the Supreme Court’s Prosecutor’s Office, received the “green light” from the A1 Political Department of the Supreme Court to participate in the European elections.

Several parties did not pay the fee of 20,000 euros required by the electoral legislation, as a result of which they were automatically excluded from the electoral contest.
