Jail sentences for four of his inmates after the surprise search in “VIP” wing of the Domokos Prisons….

Rizai claimed in his apology that he never had in his possession the mobile phones and the four skewers found on the right side of the cell, emphasizing that he could not have known what his co-accused was hiding. Four other defendants, including a Greek, were similarly found not guilty. Lawyer Argyro Karaferis she was one of four acquitted, testifying that her principal had nothing to do with what was found in the investigation.
On the contrary, two of the defendants – one Greek – were found guilty and sentenced to two years in prison and three months, for possession of weapons and mobile phones. Two more people were also sentenced to two years in prison for gun possession.
Finally, for three of the defendants, the case file was separated and they will be tried for the same acts on a new date.
