The ships will remain tied up on May 1 as the Panhellenic Maritime Federation decided its participation in the pan-Hellenic – pan-labor 24-hour strike announced by the GSEE.

The strike that concerns all categories of ships nationwide will begin at 00.01 in the morning on Wednesday 1-5-2024, and will end at 24.00 of the same day.

“The Sailors once again this year pay tribute, respect and memory to the emblematic day that literally changed the course of history and is identified and intertwined with the diverse struggles of all Workers in our country and throughout the world” he says in his statement, the trade union of the sailors.

PNO calls for the absorption of all unemployed seafarersthe elimination of black uninsured work, the application of Collective Labor Agreements in all categories of ships and the immediate abolition of all anti-labor provisions.

He also points out that a barrier must finally be put in place to the continuous violation of the legal hours and employment limits of the Marines, the reduced organizational compositions must be immediately abolished and new ones established that really meet modern needs.

He also considers the upgrading of medical care to be imperative and immediate.
