Tomorrow, the verdict of the Three-Member Court of Criminal Appeals of Ioannina is expected for the deceased – by unanimous decision of the Supreme Court – the Prosecutor of First Instance of Corfu M. T., who is accused of criminal abuse of power and for embezzlement of public documents.

This is the case that was revealed in 2019 in Corfu and concerns the removal by the then judicial officer of thousands of court files from her service, resulting in the statute of limitations of approximately one thousand offences, felonies and misdemeanors.

M.T. she denied in her plea of ​​fraud. She claimed that she had a heavy workload, admitted that she had thousands of pending cases and lawsuits, and said that she did not return to her service, even when she was removed from it, because she always believed she could handle them.
