The Church does not take revenge, underlined Archbishop Hieronymos

The joint meeting and visit of Kyriakos Mitsotakis with her superior Greek Church will send a message of “reconciliation” and reduce the distance created by the recent political conditions of the last months, at the time when an election “alert” has sounded in Piraeus and Maximos. One of the issues that preoccupy MPs, mainly in the province, are the interventions of some priests, who disapprove of those who voted in favor of same-sex marriage. On this they welcomed Maximos with particular satisfaction the statement of Archbishop Hieronymos on the occasion of the incident in Kavala against ND MP Angeliki Delikaris.

Jerome condemned the event, emphasizing that the Church does not take revenge and in this way he drew a dividing line from priests and believers who continue to position themselves “aggressively” towards the government agents and ND MPs. From the Maximos Palace they express optimism that there will be a de-escalation of the specific issue and that relations with the body of the Church will be restored.

The “blue” executives start touring after Easter

The “blue” executives start tours after Easter, having now entered the final stretch for the polls on June 9. Members of parliament also participate in the echelons that are formed, who are also being prepared for the “battle” by the prime minister. Together with his close collaborators, Thanasis Nezis and Michalis Bekiris, who have full knowledge of the party’s human geography and an active role in the pre-election campaign, the prime minister meets in groups at Maximos those who are preparing to leave for the electoral districts and analyzes the key messages they must to be conveyed to the voters.
