The 12th Regional Development Conference returns to Patras from May 30 to May 1

The Regional Development Conference (RGC), the premier development conference that annually brings together leading experts and stakeholders from government, regional, academic and business sectors, announces its 12th annual event. The conference will take place from May 30 to June 1, at the Conference & Cultural Center of the University of Patras.

This year, with the theme “Combining Sustainability & Innovation: New Dimensions in Regional Development”, the RGC focuses on connecting sustainability with innovative approaches that can enhance regional development. The integration of these two critical elements is expected to bring out new dimensions in how regions tackle contemporary challenges, from the energy transition and circular economy to smart cities and sustainable mobility.

The conference program includes keynotes, discussions, workshops and sessions that will cover a wide range of topics related to regional development and sustainability. Among the guests will be representatives of the Greek Government, the Regions and Municipal Authorities, the European Union, International Organizations, Local and Regional Administrations, as well as businessmen and representatives of the media.
