The Larissa Branch of the Hellenic Cancer Society will proceed with the offer of bed mattresses of special specifications for the Department of Oncology Clinic of the University Hospital today at noon on Wednesday.

More specifically, the delivered equipment concerns 30 beds of special specifications which have all the technical characteristics required for the modern chemotherapy departments of oncology hospitals.

The purchase of this equipment is the result of the successful events of the Hellenic Cancer Society, the Christmas Gala, as well as the Santa Run Nation Larissa, “after the commitment and completion of all the events of the previous year, in order to renew the equipment of the clinic, offering relief to patients” as stated by the president of the Larissa Branch of the Hellenic Cancer Society, Mrs. Rania Soultoukis and warmly thanked all his sponsors.

“A big thank you to the donors”, addressed the Governor of PGNL, Mr. Dimitris Katsikonouris and emphasized that “it is a continuous donation that upgrades a department, which is really suffering”.

Her next goal, according to Mrs. Soultoukis, is to raise as much money as possible for the purchase of women’s wigs, in order to support women who cannot afford it, an important fact for the psychological state of patients now undergoing chemotherapy.
