Workshop on the actions of the “Just Development Transition” Program 2021-27 in Tripoli (vid/pics)

On the morning of Wednesday 24/4/2024, in the Events Hall of the Chamber of Arcadia, the Management of European Programs for Western Greece – Peloponnese – Epirus & Ionian Islands, a partner of EFEPAE, held a workshop, in collaboration with the Chamber of Arcadia, on the subject of the Actions of “Just Development Transition” Program 2021-2027.

In addition to the general information about the actions, the participants had the opportunity to talk directly with faculty members, in order to receive personalized answers and to resolve any questions.

The Program includes a coherent network of measures, which will give a new lease of life to the affected areas. It focuses on the regeneration of the local economy, supporting investments that contribute to its diversification and modernization as well as promoting employment, through the creation of new jobs and the strengthening of human resources affected by the transition. It is implemented under Cohesion Policy with a distinct specific objective for just transition by providing support to those regions and people affected by the social, employment, economic and environmental impacts of the transition towards the Union’s energy and climate goals for the year 2030 and towards a climate neutral Union economy by 2050.

The President of the Chamber of Arcadia, Mr. Yiannis Troupis, addressed a greeting, who referred to the necessity and importance of implementing the 2021-2027 Plan of Action in Arcadia, as well as the specific workshop to inform the members of the Chamber, while he did not fail to emphasize the difficulties that arise during the implementation process of the Program to strengthen entrepreneurship and develop the local economy in our region as well as the ongoing interventions of the Chamber to achieve the goal of a Just Developmental Transition.
