The news for private sector workers seems to be good at least based on the findings of the annual survey conducted by Randstad on the evolution of wages and the trends that are formed in the labor market. 72% of companies intend to proceed with wage increases within the next 12 months while only 17% estimate that wages will remain stable.

And to the question “and what will be the amount of these increases” comes the following answer: 40% will not exceed 5% but there is also a 25% that will raise the percentage from 6 to 10%. There are also companies that will give double-digit increases, but they are few (ie 4% sets the bar at 11-15% and a 3% even higher).

On what basis will these increases be made? The detailed tables with salary data by sector are revealing of the conditions prevailing in the labor market. It is clear that not all positions pay the same. There are positions that pay 900 euros gross (so very close to the minimum wage which has now reached 830 euros) and those that exceed 3000 or even 3500 euros. At manager level, there are also the… tens of thousands.

By sector, the picture is as follows:

1. Human resources: While the HR Director can be paid 6500 to 9500 euros gross with the corresponding manager falling to 4000 to 6500 euros, in entry positions, salaries range from 1300 to 1600 euros (eg hr assistant),

2. Secretarial support: The back office assistant will be paid 950 to 1400 euros gross. The translator, however, can “play” from 1600 to 3000 euros, while the executive personal assistant will have earnings from 2200 to 3500 euros.

3. Energy: A sector with high introductory salaries as no position shows a monthly salary lower than 1500 euros (eg asset manager or mechanical engineer). Fees reach up to 5000 euros for an energy trader or 4500 euros for a construction manager

4. Customer service: Known domain especially in the youth ranks. Indeed, it is not distinguished for high salaries, especially in low positions. The telemarketer will get between 850 and 1000 euros gross, at the minimum wage. Someone needs to become a call center manager or collections manager to raise their earnings to 2500-3000 euros gross.

5. Marketing: The director plays from 5000 to 7000 euros and the manager from 4000 to 5000 euros. Only the promoters in this field start from 800 euros while even the marketing assistants start from 1200 euros.

6. Sales: A field that spans the entire salary range. The simple salesperson in a store will start from 850 euros (up to 1300 euros in some cases) but the general manager can earn from 10,000 to 16,000 euros.

7. Technology: The most sought-after workers and this is also reflected in the salaries. There is no position with a salary lower than 1500 euros, while the CIO (chief information officer) can even reach 15,000 euros.

And it’s not just the salary. In the same survey, the benefits offered by the companies that they plan to offer to their employees in order to avoid mobility and reduced productivity are also captured. The companies divide the benefits into two categories: “wellness and skills” and “financial”.

The wellness benefits and adoption rates are as follows:

·Education: 78%

possibility of working from home (remote or hybrid model): 58%

·non-financial rewards/recognition: 45%

·paid parental leave/childcare benefits: 30%

·health and wellness programs: 28%

·food vouchers/meal subsidy: 61%

·company car: 52%

·life insurance: 41%

pension plan: 20%

·deductible expenses: 14%
