B. Gourgaris: To discuss the issue of the Energy Community in a live meeting of the Tripoli Municipal Council

Vangelis Gourgaris, Municipal Councilor of Tripoli and Head of the “People’s Rally”, in a letter he issued entitled “To discuss the issue of the Energy Community in a live meeting of the Municipal Council of Tripoli”, states in detail:

Because a regional meeting is being prepared, we call on the members of the Tripoli Board of Directors not to agree to make decisions on a regional basis for such a serious issue as the issue of the Energy Community.

It is not possible to decide for life whether to allocate a closed school to a club to hold some events and decisions are made on the fly without a discussion with a dry YES or NO over the phone. Without dialogue, without one Municipal Councilor even knowing the position and vote of the other, even in the same faction.

It is the duty of every Municipal Councilor to ensure a meaningful discussion on key issues as well as the proper functioning of the Board.
