Next Saturday, April 27, and on Sunday, the fans accused of participating in a criminal organization, members of which are allegedly involved in the fatal attack on a police officer, will appear before the investigators George Lyggeridis outside the volleyball court in Rentis.

It should be noted that the 67 defendants received deadlines for their apologies as of yesterday afternoon.

According to APE-MPE, the majority of the accused state, through their lawyers, that it has nothing to do with what is attributed to them.

The apology process is expected to begin on Saturday morning when they will be taken to the courts to appear before the five Investigators appointed for the case, the first groups of accused.

Apologies will continue on Sunday.

It is recalled that the prosecution brought about the case, in which a total of 160 persons are involved, includes 12 serious felonies and many misdemeanors.

According to the prosecution, five people are charged with directing a criminal organization, as they are assigned a leading and central role.

The case file highlights the death of the police officer, a criminal act which according to the authorities “is the result of an organized decision to attack police officers, which was taken by the hierarchy of the organization and carried out by its members”.

Depending on the degree of involvement of each defendant, the prosecution includes, among other things, felony offenses for:

  • Formation and membership in criminal organization.
  • Homicide during a sporting event.
  • Morality authorship to homicide during a sporting event.
  • Synergy to homicide during a sporting event.
  • Explosion which also resulted in the death of another during a sporting event.
  • Moral authorship in the explosion that resulted in the death of another during a sporting event
  • Synergy in the explosion that resulted in the death of another during a sporting event.
  • Construction and possession of explosive devices for the purpose of illegally supplying organizations with the occasion of a sporting event.
  • Moral authorship in the manufacture of explosive and incendiary materials which may cause a danger to a person on the occasion of a sporting event.
  • Blackmail by threatening to damage another’s business by complicity during a sporting event.
  • Robbery by association and in series with a sports background.

Among those arrested who are being asked to apologize for serious offenses is the 16-year-old brother of the 18-year-old prisoner who confessed to throwing the naval flare at the policeman outside the Rentis indoor stadium last December. In total there are fifteen minors in the case.

Seven defendants, of which three are in the group of 67, are involved in drug trafficking without being attributed to the criminal organization.
