Corfu: A woman from Australia reported rape – The description she gave to the doctors

A 35-year-old woman from Australia reported to a doctor at a Corfu hospital that she was assaulted and raped when she went to the Emergency Department on Tuesday night.

According to what the doctor told the police officers whom he informed about the Australian woman’s complaint, the woman, after telling him that she was alone on vacation in Corfu, then described to him that everything happened at around 8 o’clock on Tuesday night with an unknown assailant attacked her on Donatou Dimoulitsa street where she lived in a rented apartment.

During the description of the 35-year-old, the man hit her on the head causing her to lose consciousness. When she recovered, the Australian woman told the doctor that she was bruised and bleeding from her vaginal area.

However, the woman stated that she did not wish to be examined by a medical examiner, she did not describe the perpetrator, nor did she point out witnesses for her complaint.
