School Psychology – Special Education & Education: Individualized seminars in collaboration with the University of Peloponnese

The new cycle of applications for the graded school psychology and special education seminars of Bright Academy in collaboration with the University of Peloponnese has begun.

The start of the courses of the next cycle is May 17, 2024. The total duration of each program (in number of hours and number of weeks) is 400 hours, 40 weeks, 9 months. The implementation method and follow-up procedures are asynchronous distance learning. The demand is particularly high from substitute teachers P.E. & NOT. also from new graduates of pedagogic schools, students and those interested in enriching their knowledge and becoming active in respective fields.

The purpose of the educational program of school psychology is the detailed presentation of subject areas included in the applications of school psychology.

The purpose of the training program is the detailed presentation of subject areas included in Special Education and Training. The content of the program highlights the role of Special Education in ensuring a supportive environment for students.

The specific programs above, in accordance with current legislation, offer the following points to those who attend them:

1. To all general education teachers 2 points (Law 4589/2019, article 57: Criteria for evaluation of general education teachers)

2. To TE and DE teachers 10 points

3. To appoint EBP members 2 points (Law 4589/2019, article 60)

4. To all permanent teachers and special educational staff 0.5 points (Law 4547/2018, article 24)

5. 2 points in the teacher appointment-recruitment system (ASEP-substitutes, unappointed candidates)

6. According to Law 4823/2021, article 33, to two (2) units for the following categories of Education officials: a) Regional Directors of Education, b) Directors of Primary and Secondary Education, c) Heads of Interdisciplinary Assessment, Consulting and Support Centers, d) Education Consultants, e) Directors of Special Vocational Education Laboratories (E.E. .E.EK.), g) Principals of Experimental Primary Schools, h) Principals of Standard or Experimental High Schools, i) Principals of Standard or Experimental GE.L., j) Heads of the Departments of Educational Subjects of the Directorates of Primary Education, k) Heads of Departments of Educational Subjects of the Directorates of Secondary Education.
