Six people were injured early this morning in Kharkiv, the second largest city of Ukraine, from Russian attack with rockets, which caused damage to residential buildings, the regional governor Oleh Sinekhubov says in his post on Telegram.

The attack damaged three apartment buildings, two offices, three non-residential buildings and a natural gas pipeline in the center of the city, according to the governor’s post.

The impact caused glass breakage in approximately 568 windows and damage to 33 cars, according to Sinekhubov.

The mayor of the city Ihor Terekhov told Ukrainian television that two S-300 missiles were used in the attack and added that no significant damage was caused to residential areas of the city.

At the same time the Russian news agency RIA reported today, citing unnamed sources within the Russian forces, that their attack hit camps in Kharkivwhere Ukrainian military personnel are stationed.

Reuters was unable to independently confirm this information.

Terehoff stated that gas pipeline repair work is underway as the city authorities are making efforts to restore gas supply to the part of the city affected this morning.
