Two incidents of domestic violence unfolded a few hours apart in Heraklion on Tuesday.

Specifically, yesterday in Heraklion, a 50-year-old woman originally from Romania complained that she was brutally attacked in the middle of the street by her 64-year-old Danish ex-husband.

According to what she reported, the former couple met on a street in Heraklion by chance and then the 64-year-old insulted the 50-year-old and punched her, causing her injuries. Police officers proceeded to arrest the 64-year-old and the incident is being investigated by the authorities.

At the same time, another wild episode of domestic violence unfolded in Heraklion between a couple of foreigners.

According to information, a 31-year-old woman reported yesterday to the police authorities that her 42-year-old husband, originally from Iran, beat her and abused her inside her store in Heraklion, causing her physical injury. The police authorities proceeded to arrest the 42-year-old and the incident is being investigated.
