Seasonal Exhibition of the Association of Visual Arts Artists of Tinos

--

With great sensitivity and respect, 26 artists of the Visual Arts Association of Tinos, as well as invited artists, are inspired by the Holy Place of Tinos, on the occasion of the 201st anniversary of the finding of the miraculous Icon of Megalochari.

The subject is approached from a visual perspective both through time and in modern times. This is a condition that includes works of Sculpture, Work Shop Engraving, Painting, Photography, Installation, New Media, Video Art.

The purpose of the action goes beyond the narrow context of an anniversary exhibition, aiming at the same time to highlight local and visiting artists and offering them the opportunity to redefine the event, the history and the customs surrounding the Discovery.

Hence the choice of the title of the exhibition “Findings and Rediscoveries” curated by Mr. N. P. Paisios.

The exhibition will remain for 5 months at the emblematic Foundation of Tinos Culture, offering visitors the opportunity to get to know through the exhibits, the history, tradition and customs of the Holy Pilgrimage of Tinos.
