ELSA Komotini prepares Law students for their professional rehabilitation

On the weekend of April 20-21, the European Association of Young Lawyers in Komotini (ELSA Komotini) held the established two-day career weekend (Career Weekend). This is an action, which aimed to bridge the gap between the theory that the student learns in the university auditoriums and the practice that he is asked to face when entering the labor market.

In this context, 7 lawyers in the field, each of whom specializes in a different branch of science, presented the distinct elements of each profession. Specifically: Evangelos Farmakidis spoke as a mediator, Cleopatra Stogiannidou-Petaloti as a notary public, Haris Papadakis as an embassy attaché at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vasiliki Varsamaki as a doctoral candidate, Damianos Kairetoglou as a trial judge, Dimitrios Vervesos as a combat lawyer and President of of the Bar Association of Athens and the Plenary Session of the Bar Associations of Greece. The action concluded with the speech of 3 interns, followed by a workshop on entrepreneurship by Michalis Markos. The culmination of the Career Day was the organization of the Job Fair, in collaboration with the law firm “Ioannis Vassardanis and partners”, which conducted interviews for the granting of internships to law students.
