A 54-year-old man and his teenage son were exposed to a family ‘business’ of indoor cannabis seedling cultivation after information given to police Narcotics Prosecution Veria and confirmed by the investigations.
With the help of their OPKE colleagues, the police made a surprise search at their residence in an area of western Thessaloniki, where they discovered the nursery that they were cultivating in a specially designed area, with a total of 24 cannabis seedlings up to 70 cm high and they confiscated them, as well as the equipment they used with lamps, amplifiers, ventilation system and other paraphernalia.
The 54-year-old father was not at home, where his 17-year-old son was arrested, in whose possession a small amount of raw cannabis was seized. The minor was taken to the public prosecutor of Thessaloniki, who prosecuted him for cultivation and possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and referred him to apologize to the investigator, while a case file was filed against his 54-year-old father with the same charges and for neglecting his supervision.
