Their indignation at the problems that remain after the flood of last September was expressed today, Tuesday afternoon, by the flood victims of the Yannouli Workers’ Housing (old and young) in a protest rally, which they held in the square of the settlement, speaking, among other things, of “state indifference”.

“Compensations have not been given to everyone. The basements have been excluded in their entirety, where many thousands of euros worth of eco-construction was destroyed. At the same time, municipal and regional authorities “work” us, as exemptions that flood victims should have do not exist.

Also, there is a terrible delay in the state of infrastructure. We are talking about the streets, the exterior and the entrances of apartment buildings,” said Mr. Tasos Tsiaples, member of the Yiannoulis Flood Affected Worker’s Housing Action Committee, in his statements.

Regarding the issue of the Social Grocery, which occupied the last Municipal Council of Larisa, he emphasized that “obviously they consider us a burden for its operation”. “We categorically state that despite the fatigue of eight whole months we will not give up. They will find us in front of them until our problems are solved” he concluded.
