Classification in the Army with 2024 III/ESSO

By circular order of the Ministry of National Defense, the conscripts with the 2024 Γ΄/ESSSO are invited to enlist in the Army from 20 to 24 May 2024, (while from 20 to 22 May 2024 those who in the past had their enlistment postponed for reasons health), as below:

a. The conscripts of class 2026 (year of birth 2005) who are registered or are undeclared in the male registers of the prefectures of Aitoloakarnania, Attica (only the municipalities under the jurisdiction of SY Piraeus, SY Attica as well as SY West Attica), Dodecanese, Evros, Zakynthos, Imathia , Thesprotias, Thessaloniki (with a surname starting from A to L), Kavala, Karditsa, Corfu, Kefallinia, Kozani, Korinthia, Lasithi, Lesbos, Lefkada, Messinia, Xanthi (only of the Municipality of Xanthi), Preveza, Serres, Trikala, Fthiotida, Florina and Chania.

b. The conscripts of the classes 2001 to 2026 (years of birth 1980 to 2005), from all Prefectures subject to conscription and are categories one to four (I/1 to I/4), full or reduced term, regardless of whether they have whether or not they finished basic or special education and the reasons for their obligation to rank were created in the period from 01 January 2024 to 29 February 2024.

c. The conscripts of the classes of paragraph 1b hereof who had their enlistment postponed for health reasons and the reasons for their obligation to enlist were created in the period from March 1, 2024 to April 30, 2024.

During their classification, the invitees must definitely have with them:

a. Their police ID card,

b. The Ranking Note,

c. Their Individual Nursing Booklet,

d. Evidence of their Tax Registry Number (TIN),

e. The Social Security Registration Number (SIN),

f. Chest x-ray, which will be accompanied by an opinion from a radiologist or pulmonologist from any Public or Prefectural Hospital or Health Center or Military Hospital or corresponding specialty, private doctor in the Country,

g. A negative result in a rapid detection test (rapid test) for the antigen of the corona virus COVID-19, which should have been carried out within 48 hours, before the day of their classification. The detection check is carried out free of charge in public hospitals, health centers, designated regional clinics or military hospitals, upon presentation of the rank note and police identity card or other official identification, in accordance with the applicable legislation,

h. Bank Account Number (IVAN) (with f/a of the 1st page of the account book with the first name of the beneficiary, the enlisted) and

i. Any document from which their blood group can be derived.

Those subject to classification, who suffer from chronic diseases and are monitored for at least 6 months, have the possibility to:

a. To be examined at the Military Hospitals of the Army, with appointments at the outpatient clinics corresponding to their illness, to obtain a medical opinion, before their classification. When attending the outpatient clinics of the Military Hospitals, they must show their classification note and present the complete medical file of their illness. They will then be given a medical report by the military doctor of the Military Hospital, which they will present to the Recruit Training Center (KEN), in order to be examined by the Health Committees and the Special Military Councils.

b. If they do not wish or are unable to be examined in Military Hospitals, they must provide a medical opinion of their illness from the attending physicians of state and only hospitals. This opinion must explicitly state that the attending physician systematically monitors the patient in question for a period of at least six months and keeps a complete medical record of his illness. In this case, those subject to classification should present the above opinion to the medical service of the Recruit Training Center (KEN).

More information on the Recruit Training Centers (KEN), the exact dates and the obligations of those called for classification, are provided by the local Military Services or on the website “www.stratologia.gr”, through which the conscripts are required to print the Ranking Note.
