Tinos High School honors people with disabilities

--

Today, Tuesday (23-04-2024), the 3rd grade students of the Tinos High School, accompanied by their teachers Mr. Manos and Mr. Claudiano, visited our union premises, for a meeting with our disabled members.

Their goal, through partnership, collaboration and collective creation, is for future adults to know and empathize with the needs, feelings, rights, and also the possibilities of people with some form of disability, and to adopt a healthy mindset and culture freed from stereotypes and discrimination.

After the president’s brief greeting and her reference to the goals and actions of the union, the students, encouraged by their teachers, sang, drew with us and shared experiences with Mrs. Anna Maria Foskolou, a member of our union with visual impairment and mandated advisor to the Mayor of Tinos on disability issues.

An action that strengthens the respect and acceptance of our fellow human beings with disabilities as equal members of society, but also social coexistence and cohesion in general. WE THANK THEM!

The President of the Board of Directors Triada Zerva-Apergi
