THE Pavlos Haikalis commented on Manos Ioannou’s choice to openly support Petros Filippidis, despite the effects this had on his career.
The former actor and astrologer spoke on the “SuSou Morning” show and initially, he praised Manos Ioannou for finding the courage to publicly defend the actor who was accused of raping and attempting to rape women.
“In such a time when there is cannibalism and one is afraid of the other and because there is also a climate that prohibits having another dimension to things, outside of the politically correct one, there may be people who have received criticism. I’m not ruling anything out. I think that Manos Ioannou said a great truth, that we should not condemn people”, he said characteristically.

Then he added: “We’ve overinflated things. Manos is standing up for his friend and I think it’s very honorable for someone to stand up for their friend and say so publicly, even if they’ve lost jobs because of it. I think when the final decision of the court comes out, there to see how some people will react. If it is positive, they may be vindicated. If it is negative, however, they should also give a reason. I think that then, a reason should be asked from all sides.”
Finally, he also referred to his own case, as he had been accused of harassment, while emphasizing that social media has become a “people’s court”.
“Don’t forget that all those who have our name involved in something, whether we are right or wrong, whether we are guilty or not, the whole system has been taken away from us without being able to say another word and an appropriate point of view always prevails. I consider this to be on the verge of a fascist treatment by social media and journalism”he said closing.
