Her findings are revealing THE GREEK POLICE about its organization, structure and practices criminal organization of hooligansdozens of members of which were arrested as part of the investigation into the murderous attack on police officer Giorgos Lyggeridison December 7, 2023 in Renti.

The operation of the criminal organization is operationally structuredthat is, it has an internal structure and clear hierarchical structure in the sense that its members have defined roles, and the younger or junior members submit their will to the senior members and all together shape the will of the organization, which is directed towards the achievement of the “common goal”, i.e. crimes and criminal acts.

The evidence shows that the organization had a definite and distinct hierarchy: there was the chief, the undisputed leader “Joseph” or “Short” and directly below him other “heads” in the form of deputy leaders, such as “OMLE”, P.K., D.M., “Karcharias”, “Romanos”, “Kokos” etc.

The leading members of the criminal organization, taking advantage of their high position in the hierarchy of followers, have managed to “profession” their fan identityreaping significant monetary benefits, so-called in the language of the fans “per diems”.

They did this by selling fans free invitations at a price they set, under the pretense of boosting links. It was also placed in stadium gate control, as STEWART, thus having the possibility to put fans on the field, for a price that they set each time, depending on the importance of the match. They received the price themselves, making a personal profit.

the “heads” they also had the initiative, planning and organization of incidents and attacks on police officers or fans of other groups, as well as causing other criminal acts.

There were several times when one turned against the other, motivated by primacy in “daily wages”.

The role of the “small”

The so-called “little ones”, i.e. people usually of an age, had a decisive role in achieving their goals from 16 years to about 24who have recently joined the organization and are using them the “big ones”so that they can have numerical superiority when they carry out their attacks.

The desire of the “small” to rise to the esteem of the “big”, makes them special violent and always willing take part in attacks against Police or opposing fans.

According to ELAS, “it is easy to understand that the individual beatings, the damage to vehicles and objects, the manufacture and use of explosive and incendiary devices, the robberies against persons, the use of weapons and the other crimes that took place, for example, in a attack on police forces, they should not be counted as individual acts of natural authors, but as being included in the overall work of the criminal organization, being an integral part of its activity. In particular, without the group presence, the natural perpetrators would not have carried out the above-mentioned acts, at least not in the form and severity described above”.

The “big ones” received invitations which they distributed to the “little ones” so that they could enter the stadium gates for free. In addition, they were given small “tips” when they were sent to run errands for them, such as buying them food or beers.

The above in combination with awe and respect that the “small” felt for the “big”, was enough for them to fully submit to their orders and be consistent when called by the “big” to carry out their illegal activities.
