DSA: The referendum on the creation of five regional Courts of First Instance in Attica has begun | Legal News

ANNOUNCEMENT

LAW ASSOCIATION OF ATHENS

1. The Athens Bar Association, in accordance with the 16.4.2024 decision of the Board of Directors, will hold a Referendum regarding the creation of five (5) Regional Courts of First Instance in the Prefecture of Attica based on article 6 par. e of the new Judicial Charter .

The referendum will be held at the offices of the DSA (Akadimias 60), the Court of First Instance of Athens, the Magistrates’ Court of Athens, the Administrative Court of First Instance of Athens and the Court of Appeal of Athens and electronically through the Olomeleia Portal from Monday, April 22, 2024 until M. Monday, April 29, 2024 .

2. Voting for the holding of the referendum will take place in person in seven (7) divisions as follows:

• In two (2) sections at the Court of First Instance of Athens, from Monday 22.4.2024 to Friday 26.4.2024 and Monday 29.4.2024 from 08:00 to 16:00 (buildings 2 and 12).

• In one (1) department at the Athens Magistrate’s Court, from Monday 22.4.2024 to Friday 26.4.2024 and Monday 29.4.2024 from 08:00 to 16:00 (DSA office: room 045)

• In one (1) department at the Administrative Court of First Instance of Athens, from Monday 22.4.2024 to Friday 26.4.2024 and Monday 29.4.2024 from 08:00 to 16:00 (DSA office: 1st floor office 107)

• In one (1) department at the Athens Court of Appeal, from Monday 22.4.2024 to Friday 26.4.2024 and Monday 29.4.2024 from 08:00 to 16:00 (DSA offices 3rd floor)

• In two (2) sections at the Athens Bar Association (“Michalis Ep. Zafeiropoulos” event hall) from Monday 22.4.2024 to Friday 26.4.2024 and Monday 29.4.2024 from 08:00 to 18:00 .

3. All Lawyers who are members of the Board of Directors have the right to vote. registered in the Registry until 16.4.2024, regardless of whether they have submitted an annual declaration, or are suspended.

4. Lawyers will be able to exercise their right to vote in person at any of the seven (7) polling stations.

5. There will be a NO or YES ballot and a blank ballot.

6. Voters must bring with them their lawyer’s ID or any document proving their identity (Police ID, Passport, Insurance Book, etc.).

7. The electronic voting will start on Monday 22.4.2024 at 08:00 and will end on Monday 29.4.2024 at 18.00.

Lawyers who wish to participate will have 24-hour access on Saturday 27.4.2024 and Sunday 28.4.2024 via the Plenary portal, where identification is made with the relevant portal codes of each colleague.
