Attiki Odos: Complete stoppage of traffic from tomorrow (24/4) in parts of the Western Regional Road Ymittos

Due to the execution of heavy maintenance work, the Attica Traffic Directorate has decided to completely stop the traffic of vehicles, in the following road sections of the West Peripheral Avenue Ymittos of the ATTICA ROAD Concession Project during the period of time from 24-04-2024 to 30-09-2024as follows:

– In the traffic flow towards Ymittos of the Western Branch of the Western Regional Avenue of Ymittos from the exit branch of the Vrilissi Tunnel to the Peripheral Ymitou-Leof. D. Plakentias (A-31.2) to km. position X-5.5 inside the Agia Paraskevi Tunnel, as well as the entrance branches to Ymittos Ring Road from the Penteli Toll East and from the D. Plakentia Toll South.

During the above interruption, vehicle traffic may proceed as follows:

• Direct to Airport to S.E.A. Peanias where they will turn in the direction of Elefsina and then move towards Ymittos Regional through the connecting branch of the A.K. Leontario (of branch E16-X of node 16), or
• Directly to the Airport, then head towards Pallini via the connecting branch of the A.K. Leontario (of the A-16-P branch of junction 16) and to reverse to A.K. Pallinis (Junction Y8) in the direction of Katehaki, or
• Directly towards the Airport, then take the exit towards Marathonos Avenue (junction 15) where through this and Mesogeion Avenue you can head towards the surrounding suburbs of Ymitto or the Southern Suburbs or towards the Center of Athens.

– In the traffic flow towards Vrilissia of the Western Branch of the Western Regional Avenue Ymittos from km. position 5.3 to the junction of the branch with E.L.E.S.S. (E-30,9) in the Vrilissi tunnel in the direction of Elefsina.

During the above interruption, vehicle traffic may proceed as follows:

• Direct to Markopoulos-Airport via the connecting branch P-16-A (junction Y7) to S.E.A. Peanias where they will turn in the direction of Elefsina, or
• Straight towards Rafina, then turn towards Elefsina via A.K. Pallini (Junction Y8) and then through the connecting branch of A.K. Leontario (of the X-16-E branch of the Y7 junction) to head towards Elefsina.

– In the traffic flow towards Rafina of the Eastern Branch of the Western Regional Avenue Ymittos from km position 5.3 before the tunnels Ag. Friday until A.K. Leontariou (Junction Y7, km 10.3), as well as the exit branch of Ag. Paraskevi and the entrance branches to the Ymitto Regional from the tolls of Agia Paraskevi North and Glykon Neron North.

During the above interruption, vehicle traffic may proceed as follows:

• Drivers bound for Markopoulos-Airport will drive straight in the direction of Vrilissia until the exit to Pentelis Street (junction 12) where they will turn around and drive straight towards Airport-Markopoulos.
• Drivers bound for Rafina will drive straight in the direction of Vrilissia until the exit to L. Pentelis where they will turn around, drive straight towards Airport-Markopoulos and then exit at A.K. Leontariou (Junction 16 – branch A-16-P) in the direction of Rafina.

– In the traffic flow towards Cholargo of the Eastern Branch of the Western Regional Avenue Ymittos from A.K. Leontario (Junction Y7, X10.3) to km position X-5.5 inside the Agia Paraskevi tunnel, as well as the connecting branch entry from E.L.E.S.S. to the Ymittos Regional Road (E16-X) and the entrance branch from the Glykon Nero South toll road to the Ymittos Regional Road.

During the above interruption, vehicle traffic may proceed as follows:

– The upcoming drivers from Rafina:

• will move through the connecting branch X-16-E of the Leontario junction (junction Y7) in the direction of Elefsina and exit at the exit towards Marathonos Avenue (junction 15), where through this and Mesogeion Avenue they can head towards adjacent to the Regional Suburbs of Ymitto or the Southern Suburbs or towards the Center of Athens, or
• they will move through the connecting branch X-16-E of the Leontari junction in the direction of Elefsina, to take the exit towards Pentelis Street (junction 12) where they will turn around and move in the (Y) direction towards the Ymittos Ring Road.

– The incoming drivers from Airport-Markopoulos:

• they will move in the direction of Elefsina, they will exit at the exit towards Marathonos Avenue (15) where through it and Mesogeion Avenue they will be able to head towards the surrounding suburbs of Ymitto or the Southern Suburbs or towards the Center of Athens, the
• they will move in the direction of Elefsina, they will exit at the exit towards Pentelis St. (junction 12) where they will turn around and move in the current (Y) towards Ymittos Ring Road.

The above traffic arrangements will be carried out:

– From Monday to Thursday, between 22:00 and 06:00 the next day.

– On Friday between 22:00 and 08:00 of the following day.

– On Saturday between 20:00 and 08:00 the following day.

– On Sunday between 20:00 and 06:00 of the following day
