Attica: Frame – frame the moment when a burglar grabs outstretched

--

Clothes spread out from a house were stolen by a burglar in Argyroupoli, Attica, with the security camera recording the perpetrator.

The insolent burglar knocked without even bothering to hide his facial features and without turning off the engine of his car, in which he had arrived in her neighborhood Argyroupoli.

It all started at 02:47 in the night. The perpetrator entered like a gentleman through the outer gate and began to remove the pegs from the spread clothes.

As seen in the visuals, after the first clothes she put in his arms she made him leave, but she regretted it. He came back and very quickly I took everything that was laid out.

“In other words, we have reached another point, to be afraid to spread our clothes. We had laid out a cardigan, which makes a lot of “bang”, it is branded, at around 100 euros. In general, I had taken out laundry, all my white cardigans,” he said in Live News the owner of the house.

The sound of his car’s exhaust can be heard throughout the video. He had left it open so that apparently in case something went wrong in those seconds he could quickly leave.

“He stops right outside with the car, he didn’t even turn it off, he got out as you can hear from the video, the exhaust was making a lot of noise, he got out with his pass, opened it, got what he wanted, left, then got back in, got something else and left,” the homeowner described.

Until he and his girlfriend saw the security camera footage, their minds, the owner said, couldn’t wrap their heads around what had happened.

“We put a washing machine on and spread them out obviously and went to sleep. The morning I woke up, I went to work, I wake up very early, I didn’t notice anything and a little later my girlfriend, who lives with us, says to me “Dimitris, did you pack the clothes?” I say “no I haven’t collected anything”. He says: “you’re kidding me”. I say “no”, he tells me “go into the camera because they probably stole them from us”.

“I see this man come in, first he basically drove the car outside he was going slowly, slowly, so he could see all the houses around – around what’s going on,” the homeowner said.

“It’s not the money, it’s the feeling of fear”

“He had the audacity to say, ‘Let’s get something else, since no one saw me now.’ He’s not a neighbor, but what they told me like many because I’ve gone around all the houses, they say he’s a familiar face.”

The clothes stolen by the perpetrator had a total value of approx 300 euros. But this, at the given moment, takes second place for the owner.

“I don’t even want to think that he might be outside my door watching something. Who knows what the next step will be. Nothing was loose, meaning he didn’t care. He didn’t even see the camera because he didn’t even glance in that direction.”

The theft in Argyroupoli was unusual but not unprecedented. In fact, in Patras three years ago, a similar hit with a greater degree of difficulty was recorded on camera. As the perpetrator had climbed onto a balcony to get a pair of shoes.

“I hope something is found, not so much about the clothes but about the person and that he doesn’t invade anyone’s personal space again, especially for such a trivial reason,” the homeowner said.

“The investigation is progressing. More than the neighbors we have enough help. Fortunately there are several cameras in the neighborhood. It is not the clothes and their value, this man should be punished. To put a brake on what is happening, because it has become a fashion,” said the mother of the owner of the house.
