The tender for the Kozani district heating transmission pipeline with the unified district heating system has been re-announced

DEFAK re-announced with an open procedure an International Electronic tender through the National Electronic Government System with the offer system “with individual discount rates by price groups of similar works and with regularity control of the individual discount rates, for the conclusion of a Public Contract for the project: ” TRANSMISSION & INTERCONNECTION PIPELINES OF THE DISTRICT HEATING FACILITY OF KOZANI WITH THE SINGLE INTERCONNECTED DISTRICT HEATING NETWORK OF WESTERN MACEDONIA” budget €42 million not including VAT 24%.

The project belongs to the electromechanical category and is financed by the NSRF 2021-2027, PDE and the company’s own resources.

With this project, the Kozani district heating facility is functionally connected to the Unified Interconnected district heating system of Kozani – Ptolemaida – Amyntaios with the aim of ensuring the coverage of the energy needs of district heating in Western Macedonia both during the transitional stage and after the withdrawal of the existing lignite units of the region in implementation of the National Plan for Energy and Climate. The project includes the construction of a system of underground steel factory-insulated superheated water transport pipelines from the production facilities and the transfer pumping station within AES/PPC Kardia to the central transfer & distribution pumping stations of the Kozani District Heating facility in the Kasla area of the city of Kozani. The nominal thermal power transmission capacity is predicted to reach 195MWth, taking into account the existing peak of the Kozani district heating system, as well as the thermal demand due to the future expansions of the system in Kozani and neighboring settlements.
