The Culture and Tradition Association of Andros “Folks Angle” and the Korthi Dance Group, participated for the first time in a joint event with 70 dancers from mixed groups of children and adults, in the context of the Panandrian feast of Panagia Theoskepastis and presented dances from Asia Minor and Chios in the courtyard of the Church with dance teacher Georgia Xanthou (graduate of TEFA Thessaly, specializing in traditional dances) and accompanied by young musicians from Andros, Augustina Mastori on voice and santouri, Zanni Mastori on lute and Giorgos Rerras on violin.

After accompanying the image of the Virgin Mary and the participation of young and old dancers during the torchlight procession, members of the adult section of the Folks Angle and the Korthio Dance Group participated and danced traditional dances during the prom of the Society of Friends of the Synetiou Folklore Museum.

The Board of Directors of the Association and the Korthio Dance Group thank Father Michail Kalaboukis as well as the president of the Association of Friends of the Synetiou Folklore Museum, Mrs. Margarita Korkodeilou, for the two honorary invitations.
The admittedly excellent performance of the dance departments gives the further motivation to further strengthen its departments and continue their varied activities in the service of the culture and tradition of Andros according to its statute.
