The show Mera Mesimeri with Fotini Mantsou hosted Eleni Daniil, Soprano, who is from Ptolemaida and had the honor of reciting the Olympic Anthem at the Olympic Flame Touching Ceremony in Thessaloniki.

Speaking to Fotini Mantsou, she referred to her journey, saying that she has been involved in music since she was a child, studying at the Ptolemaida Music School, at the Conservatory as well as at the Department of Music Art and Technology and now she is a doctoral student in the department, majoring in opera.

Asked how the proposal for her participation came about, she replied that the proposal was made by the deputy mayor of Thessaloniki to her teacher at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki in the melodrama department.

Somehow he had the enormous honor of participating in the Touching of the Olympic Flame Ceremony. “The ceremony is a unique experience. It is a particularly moving moment and a unique experience and a great honor for me. To sing the Olympic anthem which is a jewel of sports culture is a great honor. The ceremony reminds us of the power that sport has to unite people,” he also said.
