Criminal prosecution for a multitude of felonies and misdemeanor offenses based on the evidence in the case file was brought against the 67 arrested for the murder of the police officer Giorgos Lyggeridis, as well as for other fights and incidents in sports venues.
One of the masterminds of the criminal organization was arrested in Ioannina. He and his friend had come to town for a few days vacation.
With a lightning operation and with the cooperation of the Ioannina Security, he was located at the lakeside of Ioannina where he was enjoying his coffee.
He was arrested and then transferred to Athens. The sum of approximately five thousand euros and four mobile phones were found in his possession. He is a leading member of Door 7 and the Police had reasonable suspicions that he would attempt to escape to Albania.
He himself had long been under the surveillance of the authorities. He is considered one of the five moral perpetrators of the murder of the policeman who, among other things, recruited young people and brainwashed them.
The prosecution concerns 28 crimes, of which at least 12 are felonies. The case file is against 160 people, arrested and not.
Specifically, criminal prosecution was brought for the following charges:
*Criminal organization address (5 people)
*Establishment and membership in a criminal organization.
*Manslaughter during a sporting event.
*Ethical complicity in homicide during a sporting event.
*Aiding and abetting homicide during a sporting event
*Explosion that resulted in the death of another during a sporting event.
*Ethical complicity in the explosion that resulted in the death of another during a sporting event
*Participating in the explosion that resulted in the death of another during a sporting event.
*Manufacturing explosive devices for the purpose of illegally supplying organizations with the occasion of a sporting event.
*Ethical authorship in the manufacture of explosive and incendiary materials that may cause danger to a person on the occasion of a sporting event
*Blackmail by threatening to damage another’s business by complicity during a sporting event.
*Robbery by accomplice and serial with a sports background.
*Distinctive violence against employees who were in serious danger.
*Arson from which a common danger to foreign objects may arise during a sporting event.
*Disturbing the public peace during a sporting event.
*Damage to foreign property during a sporting event.
*Dangerous bodily harm against employees and non-employees.
*Violence against another during a sporting event.
*Possession of objects that can cause bodily harm during a sporting event.
* Possession of flares and firecrackers during a sporting event.
*Possession of objects that can cause bodily harm.
*Theft by complicity.
*Illegal gun possession.
*illegal carrying of weapons.
*Weapon use by follow-up
*Illegal possession of firecrackers.
*Supply possession of drugs.
*Possession of explosive and incendiary materials on the occasion of a sports organization.
The case file that has been filed concerns approximately 160 people, 67 have been arrested.
*15 are minors out of 160. Of those arrested, one minor.
*Seven people from a criminal organization, have also violated the drug law, this part will be separated.
*Another seven are involved in drug trafficking without being involved in crime – 3 of them have been arrested.
*The 14 who have drugs will plead those charges to a narcotics investigator.
*A father of an arrested person is referred to the Autonomous Single-Member Misdemeanor Court.
The Prosecutor does not appear to be giving his consent at this stage to the issuance of new arrest warrants, which however cannot be ruled out during the interrogation, an interrogation which is expected to be carried out by at least three investigators, while the file interestingly includes the statements of three protected witnesses.
Five investigators will undertake the further investigation of the case. The 9th investigator with assistants on the 22nd and 17th, the 2nd juvenile investigator and the 4th narcotics investigator.
