As part of the mosquito control program implemented by the Region of Eastern Macedonia – Thrace, we inform you that on Thursday 25-04-2024 and Friday 26-4-2024 aerial larvicide spraying is planned in the natural wetland systems of the Rhodope Region.
Scope – areas: Natural and rural environment of P.E. Rodopis (wider areas of Lakes Vistonida and Ismarida).
Air spraying hours: 06:00 – 14:00
Precautions: please do not circulate in the natural environment of the above areas, people and animals during the spraying for purely preventive reasons.
The application will not take place in populated areas, however when performing the flight to and from the application areas the helicopter may pass close to populated areas without this posing a risk to public health.
To carry out the spraying, follow the instructions described in no. primary D1a/G.P. house 15226/12-03-2024 Circular of the Ministry of Health (AD: 66ΛX465FYO-NPSA) and D1a/G.P. 16511/28-03-2024 (AD: PB2K465FYO-789) document of the Ministry of Health, as well as under no. prot. 1278/31819/01-02-2024 document of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food.
The application will:
- under the responsibility of the contractor (ASNF Aeroapplications IKE).
- using a helicopter carrying special and appropriate equipment.
- with constant supervision by specialist scientific employees of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace.
- With preparations approved for the purpose according to no. prot.12782/31819/01-02-2024 document of the Directorate of Plant Production Protection of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food.
If for any reason the applications are not carried out, they will be rescheduled within the next few days.
