An excursion to the Paths of War is organized by the Mountaineering Association of Heraklion.
Analytically:
A mountain route with special historical characteristics is the one we will walk this Sunday, April 28: 80 years have passed since the kidnapping of General Heinrich Kreippe, commander of the German military forces occupying Heraklion-Lassithi.
Having as our starting point the small village of Drosia or Jeni Gave (300m), we will look for and walk through the halls of the rebels-kidnappers, we will pass through the village of Aimonas and we will move towards Livada.
Before the village in question, we will first enter a dirt road and then the bed of the adjacent stream – canyon, which will take us north of Anogeia. Leaving the gorge, we will move in a southerly direction and end in Anogeia (750m).
