Representation of D.E. of the Larissa Branch of PEEA – DSE led by the president of the branch Thanasis Serdenis, met with the deputy mayor of Larisa Terzoudis Christos, to whom he handed over a memorandum for the complete restoration of the monument-museum in the Alcazar dedicated to the National Resistance 1941 – 1944, also requesting a meeting and with Mayor Than. Mom.

A memorandum in which, among other things, it is noted that the monument built in 1990 during the mayorship of Aristidis Lambroulis to honor the National Resistance and the anti-fascist victory of the peoples, as well as the contribution of the people of Larissa to it, “has been in very bad shape for some years now condition”.
PEEAA requests that the area be “cleaned immediately, but also cleaned at regular intervals so that it does not resemble a garbage dump, but a monument that adorns the city. Immediately take measures to restore the external and internal spaces (insulation, sealing, etc.) to deal with the humidity, to clean and paint, to fully restore the lighting and plumbing.
To replace the two entrance doors (they are almost damaged) with security doors that will secure the space from any violation. To study how there will be ventilation for the better stay of someone in the space and its better maintenance.
To maintain the archival material that is in the area, to add some more. There should be a model outside with the history of the construction of the monument and the reason it was built. And of course there should be an employee where, in combination with the other monument of the Resistance, he can open it after consultation, to every club, association, organization, school, that wants to visit it”.
