10 cases of theft from vehicles were solved and two minors were arrested

Two minors were handcuffed, who are accused of 9 cases of theft and one attempt, for violations of the KOK and the weapons legislation. This is the case with the car thefts on the beach of Tobruk, municipality of Hersonissos, for which the two Roma minors, aged 15 and 17, were identified as perpetrators.

According to the Police announcement, “two minor nationals accused of theft and for the occasional offenses of violations of the legislation on weapons and the Road Traffic Code were arrested yesterday (22.04.2024) in the afternoon by officers of the Police Department of the Peninsula.

In particular, after the thorough investigation and preliminary investigation by the police officers of the above service, it emerged that the above-mentioned minor citizens using I.X.E. car, during the time period from 22.03.2024 to 20.04.2024, they had carried out 10 cases of theft (9 completed and one attempted) from parked vehicles in a coastal area of ​​the Municipality of Heraklion and had removed from them a total of 1,200 euros and personal items worth 2,630 euros.

The above-mentioned minors were located yesterday after a coordinated operation by police officers of the above-mentioned service, and in subsequent searches of their vehicle and homes, a knife was found and confiscated, as well as a backpack with clothing and personal items, which were returned to their owners.

The I.X.E. was also seized. car as a means of committing criminal acts.
