Crete | A case of robbery in a business was solved – The perpetrators had grabbed more than 11,000 euros!

The analysis of the mode of action and the thorough investigation of the police officers of the Heraklion Security Sub-Directorate resulted in the investigating a case of robbery, which was committed in an operation in Heraklion. For this case, three people were identified (2 citizens and a foreigner) against whom a relevant case file was filed. In addition, the two nationals were arrested for the specific offenses of the Legislation on narcotics, weapons and theft.

In particular, in the midnight hours of 08.04.2024 in Heraklion, perpetrators with their facial features covered and the use of violence at the expense of the local employee of the company, removed a bag containing the sum of 11,310 euros and personal documents and objects and escaped.

From the police investigation and preliminary investigation and after the appropriate utilization of information from the above Service, it emerged that, after midnight on 08.04.2024, one of the nationals and the foreigner, using a two-wheeled motorcycle which they had taken away at an earlier time, committed the above robbery and escaped with her, while then they met with the second citizen who was waiting for them in I.X.E. car, leaving the motorcycle.

In the morning hours today (23.04.2024), by police officers of the aforementioned Service, in collaboration with police officers of the Narcotics Prosecution Department of the Heraklion Security Sub-Directorate and the Heraklion Crime Prevention and Suppression Team, a coordinated police operation was carried out during which, after the two citizens were located, they followed searches of the houses in and were arrested, while the foreigner is being sought.
