Beos: Leaves spikes against Zoi Konstantopoulou for sexual harassment

The mayor of Volos, Achilleas Beos, has made accusations of sexual harassment by the president of Plefsis Eleftheria, Zoe Konstantopoulou.

“After the morning incident in the forecourt of the Courthouse, where our paths crossed with Zoe Konstantopoulou, I am even more concerned about the inexplicable obsession, a real “sticking”, that she has with my person. Her address as she passed me “hello doll, what are you doing?” can only be interpreted in two ways’ said the mayor of Volos in a post on social media.

And he continued: “One as a ‘teaser’, although she clearly lacks, among many other things, humor. And the other as sexual harassment, which I don’t want to believe. Mainly because of my self-esteem. In any case, it is a special preference of hers for me, inexplicable as I neither know her, nor have I ever met her, nor have I ever spoken to her. I admit, I had this luck…”.

“In the end, I conclude that maybe it’s publicity mania, especially in view of the European elections…”, concluded Achilles Beos.

Tension in a trial in Volos: Zoe Konstantopoulou filed a lawsuit against the president of the court

There was tension and unexpectedness in the trial of two citizens accused of illegal violence during a meeting of the Municipal Council in Volos in 2017. The defense attorney is Zoi Konstantopoulou, who even filed a lawsuit against the president of the seat.

According to ERT, Mrs. Konstantopoulou was late to appear in court in the morning. This delay caused tension with the president of the seat. One of the two defendants he was taken to the hospital due to overexertion and malaise that he felt.

Specifically, it all started when a request to stay the trial was denied until Ms. Konstantopoulou arrives (who, as supported by her colleagues, was delayed due to weather conditions). The president of the court denied the request and ordered a 15-minute recessin order to start the hearing process with a lawyer partner of Mrs. Konstantopoulou until she herself appears.

With her arrival Zois Konstantopoulou at Courts of Volossome minutes later, a new round of tension between the advocate and the president of the seat began in relation to the procedures followed. Mrs. Konstantopoulou accused the chairman of the seat of discriminatory behavior in favor of the mayor of Volos, who, meanwhile, appeared in Court. At the same time, he submitted a series of requests to the Court which were rejected.

After rejecting her requests, Ms. Konstantopoulou proceeded to file lawsuits against the president of the seat for breach of duty and abuse of power.

In her statement, Ms. Konstantopoulou, shortly before the filing of the lawsuit against the president, emphasized:

“It’s sadat a time when citizens are expressing very serious concerns about the independence of the Judiciary and the way it works, to have judicial officers in Volos, who instead of respecting the rights of the accused, are concerned with giving prosecutorial and judicial credentials to the Municipal Authority. No Authority is allowed to operate in fear of a mayor stating his wishes in relation to the outcome of court cases and no citizen, as in this case Mr. Fragoudakis, is allowed to suffer this kind of psychological pressure from judicial behavior. There is a very serious problem of independence of the Judiciary. The judge involved in this process should have recused herself a long time ago.”

Beos: They don’t understand that this is not a theater

“The Municipal Authority has stated for a long time that it does not wish to prosecute the two defendants. This Court will be held – if it is held – for visibility, for communication reasons and nothing else. What is questionable is how the Court tolerates the antics of such people who they don’t understand that this is not a theater.”
