The director of the office of the Secretary General of Communication and Information Dimitris Galamatis, Pantelis Orfanidis, visited the Press Museum of ESIEPIN.
Mr. Orfanidis, who also attended the ESIEPIN conference “From the 19th century reporter to the use of Artificial Intelligence”, held in Patras and specifically in the auditorium of the Hellenic Open University, was given a tour of the Museum and was fully informed about its operation , by the president of the Museum Michalis Vassilakis, by the general secretary Giorgos Iliopoulos and by the head of the Museum Katerina Tsirou.
During the tour, the president of ESIEPIN, Kyriakos Kortesis, expressed the thanks of the Union and the Museum, for the undivided assistance provided to the Press Museum by Mr. Galamatis and Mr. Orfanidis, while he informed the director of the office of the General Secretary of Communication and Information about the problem that exists with the limited space in which the Museum is housed and the need to relocate it to a larger and more functional building.
During Mr. Orfanidis’ tour of the Museum, the president of POESY Sotiris Triantaphyllou, the vice-president of the Union Antonis Papoutsakis, the member of the Board of Directors Giorgos Kyrousis, the president of TEAS Thanasis Babanevas, the general secretary of TEAS Costas Theodoropoulos, the financial director of ESIEPIN and TEAS Vangelis Politis, while Antonis Skamnakis, a professor in the Department of Journalism and Media at the AUTH, and Dimitris Paitaridis, an assistant professor of Political Economy at the Evelpidon Military School, got to know the Press Museum up close.
The next day they visited the Press Museum of ESIEPIN and were guided by its President Michalis Vassilakis, the professor emeritus of Panteion University, journalist and author Nikos Bakunakis, and the associate professor of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of the AUTH Ioanna Costarella.
