New exit of our country to the markets, with the issue of a bond 30 years duration.

As stated by INSTRUCTIONS in his announcement, he instructed the banks BNP Paribas, Bofa Securities, Goldman Sachs Bank Europe, JPMorgan Chase and Piraeus Bank to undertake the bond issue, expiring on June 15, 2054.

The syndicated issue will take place in the near future.

The objective of the ODDIX is to limit the exposure to interest-bearing bonds below 8 billion euros, which means a shift to new issues of long-term bonds.

At the same time, the ODDIX aims at an early repayment of Greek government bonds that are nearing their maturity and “replacing” them with new issues. It is a practice that was followed last year and is expected to be repeated in the next period of time.

Practically, old versions which remain “alive” but without trading activity. As a bond approaches maturity, trading activity in the secondary market decreases.
