Arrest of 10 people in Lesvos for violations of the Road Traffic Code

Twelve (12) people were arrested last week in Lesvos and Chios by police officers from the Mytilini Traffic Department, the Geras Police Department, the Kalloni Police Department and the Chios Traffic Department, for violations of the Road Traffic Code.

In particular, in the context of police checks:

• On 04-15-2024 in Mytilini, a citizen was found to be driving a car. passenger car, lacking a driving license for that vehicle.
• On 04-15-2024 in Mytilini, a citizen was found to be driving a two-wheeled motorcycle, lacking a driving license for that particular vehicle.
• On 04-16-2024 on the Mytilini – Thermi road network, a citizen was found to be driving a car. passenger car, lacking a driving license for that vehicle.
• On 04-17-2024 in Chios, a local was found to be driving a two-wheeled motorcycle, lacking a driving license for that particular vehicle.
• On 04-17-2024 in the wider area of ​​Kalloni in Lesvos, a local was found to be driving a car. passenger car, lacking a driver’s license, since it had been taken from him at a previous time by a police authority.
• On 18-04-2024 in the wider area of ​​Gera on Lesvos, a citizen was found to be driving a two-wheeled motorcycle, lacking a driving license for that particular vehicle.
• On 04-19-2024, a citizen driving a two-wheeled moped on a municipal road in Chios, was involved in a traffic accident causing material damage, being, as determined, under the influence of alcohol while driving the vehicle.
• On 20-04-2024 in Mytilini, a native was found to be driving a two-wheeled motorcycle, lacking a driving license for that vehicle.
• On 21-04-2024 in Mytilini, a local was found to be driving a car. passenger car, lacking a driving license for that vehicle.
• On 04-21-2024 in Kalloni, Lesvos, a citizen was found to be driving a two-wheeled motorcycle, lacking a driving license for that particular vehicle.
• On 21-04-2024 in Kalloni, Lesvos, a minor citizen was found to be driving a two-wheeled motorcycle, lacking a driving license for that particular vehicle. The minor’s parents were also arrested for this case, for the crime of neglecting the supervision of a minor.
• On 21-04-2024 in the wider area of ​​Gera on Lesvos, a minor citizen was found to be driving a two-wheeled motorcycle, lacking a driving license for that particular vehicle. The minor’s parents were also arrested for this case, for the crime of neglecting the supervision of a minor.
