Thessaloniki: 43 arrests for drugs

In total 43 people were arrested in the last few days in various areas of it Thessaloniki for cases of drug possession and trafficking

Charges were filed against them for violating the law on addictive substances, while quantities of cannabis, heroin, cocaine and drug tablets were seized.

Typical is the case of the arrest on Monday afternoon by police officers of the DIAS Group of three nationals aged 24, 18 and 22 and a 20-year-old foreigner, who were found in a fenced courtyard of an abandoned building to have for sale twelve improvised packages of cannabis with a total weight of 232.55 grams and an improvised package of cocaine with a total weight of 20.9 grams.

In addition, a bucket was found and confiscated in their possession, containing an unknown white substance in powder, a wrapping film and five tablets of pills, which were probably used by the arrested for the preparation and adulteration of narcotics.

Those arrested were taken to the competent judicial authorities.
