They claim to be from the Holy Monastery of Saint Raphael of Mytilene…

There were many phone calls and messages we received from readers, about two young nuns who were going around the center of Lamia and selling icons and crucifixes from the Holy Monastery of Agios Raphael Mytilini.

However, their appearance and the condition of the robes they were wearing did not suggest that they were nuns and aroused the suspicion of the citizens who contacted the police and our online newspaper.

Without much effort we spotted them in Parkou Square and in Riga Feraiu Street and there are probably more than two. One pair of “monks” even tried to sell us a miraculous crucifix from the Saint.

At some point when a Municipal Police car appeared, they managed to get into an adjacent shop, while according to the report, the police are looking for them in order to check their identity.

LamiaReport contacted the Holy Monastery of Agios Raphael Mytilini, receiving the assurance that the Nuns do not leave the Monastery at all and that they have absolutely nothing to do with these… “nuns”.

So, be careful as the shrewd and shrewd, devise many ways to be able to extort money from us…
