Its board of directors was established yesterday Hellenic Railways Organization (O.S.E. S.A.) after the decision of the general meeting of the sole shareholder of the company, in which the Minister of National Economy and Finance participates, Kostis Hatzidakis and the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Christos Staikouras, representing the Greek State, where the new members were appointed.
The composition of the OSE Board of Directors was as follows:

The new president of OSE, Yannos Grammatidis, immediately after the formation of the board of directors in a body, said: “The government announced the election of the new board of directors of OSE, in which it appointed me as interim president. I have already directly invited the new members of the board of directors, which was formed into a body, to a meeting. The purpose of the overall restructuring of the board of directors is to optimize the administrative operation of the Organization and to implement the government’s planning and effort for a definitive restructuring of the Greek railways with a view to the future in cooperation with all involved parties, agencies and the national railway carrier. It is clear and self-evident that no one can be left out of this collective effort.
I am aware of the perennial inabilities of the OSE to respond to its work. I also recognize the long-standing responsibilities for these weaknesses not being effectively treated. This is why the decision for a definitive solution to all these problems is important and it is an honor that I have been asked to contribute to the task of rebuilding the Greek railway in a way that ensures the safety of citizens, facilitates the movement of citizens and goods with modern infrastructure but also to work for the benefit of the national economy”.
The biographical details of the new members of the OSE Board of Directors
Mr. Yannos Grammatidis is a lawyer, specializing in private and public international law. He is honorary president of the Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce and has many years of experience on the boards of Banks and Chambers.
Ms Christina Vassilopoulou is a lawyer, specialized in civil law, European and comparative law, with experience in corporate governance, business consulting and consumer protection.
Mr. Vasilis Giannakoulopoulos is an economist, chartered auditor – accountant, has many years of experience in the provision of audit services and risk assessment, as well as in business analysis and consulting.
Ms Antigoni Papagelopoulou is a lawyer with experience in competition law, commercial law and compliance matters, and has represented companies in multinational business environments.
Mr. John Petropoulos is an economist and strategic business consultant, with experience in the banking and financial industry, especially in the field of financing.
