A different memorial for those who died on the war fronts in the line of duty has been created in Larissa.

The monument according to onlarissa concerns the fallen… horses and mules and has been erected in the Plastira camp outside the Veterinary Museum of Larissa.

As the journalist Giorgos Trantas who published the photos notes, “on the left side of the monument it is written: ‘you fought beside us soberly in the wild storms of war and you fell quietly for our freedom as an invisible and anonymous soldier, your memory is forever.’ It is signed by the nameless warrior.”
