One was arrested 54 years old who disturbed her ways west of Thessaloniki with his… driving.

In particular, the man was spotted by police officers of the Crime Prevention and Suppression Department on Monastirio Street getting into a car and acting continuous lane changes without using direction indicators, posing a danger to other road users. The driver did not comply with a relevant police signal but continued on his way and stopped at the intersection of Giannitsa and Koletti streets.

At the point of the stop, the Traffic Accident Control and Prevention Team of the Thessaloniki Traffic Directorate, carried out a traffic control and alcohol control, during which it emerged that the 54-year-old was driving under the influence of alcohol and that he lacked a driver’s license.

It is noted that in a police operation carried out yesterday in the area of ​​the 2nd Municipal Community of Thessaloniki, checks were carried out on 116 people and 81 vehicles, while a total of five people were arrested for various offenses and 21 violations of the Criminal Code were confirmed.

Those arrested, with the files filed against them, will be taken to the competent prosecutor.
