According to information from the Committee of the Rescue Movement and Reopening of the Peloponnese Railway:
For the information and support of the Municipal Authorities, a meeting was held on Tuesday morning, April 16, of the Committee of the Movement for the Rescue and Re-Operation of the Peloponnese Railway (KI.D.E.S.I.P.), consisting of Panagiotis Vemos, Vassilis Yokaris, Stefanos Gutgiouli and Konstantinos Brusalis, with the Mayor of Tripoli, Mr. Konstantinos Tzioumi.
The Mayor was informed and an exchange of views followed, in order for further actions to follow from both sides.
In the previous days, Konstantinos Brusalis, as a representative of KIDESIP, met in Patras with representatives of the friends of the railway in the region, Vassilis Glava and Giorgos Kanellis, and was informed about the state of the local Suburban Railway. Other issues related to the coordination of the joint struggle for the Peloponnese railway were also discussed.
On Monday, April 15, there was a meeting in Kato Achaia with the Mayor of the city, Mr. Grigoris Alexopoulos, who was informed about the purposes of KIDESIP. The Mayor had a productive discussion with Konstantinos Brussalis, both on the general issue of the railway in the Peloponnese and on the better utilization of the railway line in the area of ​​the Municipality of Kato Achaia and the western Peloponnese. He also expressed his support for KIDESIP’s struggle.
