Justices of the peace move to the branch of first instance courts. In the island country we keep the regime as it is today. Where we have justices of the peace, we turn them into regional courts of first instance. With the consolidation we are doing, 1,000 judges are joining the battle. I think they are sufficient. After so long dealing with the rights of the perpetrators, we must at some point look at the rights of the victims and the codes from May 1st do that. There will also be a change in the civil procedure – that is, the system in which the courts judge. We are long overdue in Athens. Athens is difficult to manage.”
“At TEI Larisa the trial of Tempe”
Regarding the trial in Tempe, he emphasized: “We have said that the investigation is moving quickly.
